Golden Cumin Lamb Chops

Tender grilled lamb chops marinated in the Golden Cumin blend, served alongside golden sautéed potatoes and caramelised onions, finished with a refreshing yogurt mint sauce. A hearty, flavourful dish that hits all the right notes! 🍖🥔🧅🌿

Ingredients

For the Lamb Chops 🍖: 4 lamb chops, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 2 garlic cloves, minced, 2 tablespoon Golden Cumin blend

For the Sautéed Potatoes & Onions 🥔🧅: 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced, 1 large onion, thinly sliced, 2 tablespoons olive oil, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Mint Yogurt Sauce 🌿🥣: ½ cup plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons fresh mint, finely chopped, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 garlic clove, minced (optional), ¼ teaspoon salt

Cooking Instructions

Marinate the Lamb Chops 🍖: In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic and the Golden Cumin. Rub the marinade over the lamb chops and let them marinate for 20 minutes (or up to overnight in the fridge if you have the time!).

Prepare the Mint Yogurt Sauce 🌿🥣: In a small bowl, mix together yogurt, chopped mint, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Stir well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Cook the Potatoes & Onions 🥔🧅: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sliced onions, salt and black pepper. Continue cooking for another 10–15 minutes, until potatoes are golden and onions are soft and caramelized. Set aside and keep warm.


Grill the Lamb Chops 🍖: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill lamb chops for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let rest for a few minutes after cooking.

Serve 🥩🥔🌿: Plate the sautéed potatoes and onions, top with grilled lamb chops, and drizzle with mint yogurt sauce. Serve extra sauce on the side if desired, and enjoy the delicious combo of savoury and fresh flavours! 🍖🥔🧅🌿
